Lovely asian couple’s proposal in Budapest at sunset – Fisherman’s Bastion

In the Spring, before the wedding season, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful proposal photoshoot in Budapest, for an Asian couple. This photoshoot was at Budapest’s most iconic landmarks – the Fisherman’s Bastion.

The session lasted over two hours, and it was one of the most touching and memorable shoots I’ve done in a while.

What made this session truly special was a surprise planned by the groom-to-be. He reached out to me in advance and shared his heartfelt idea: he wanted to propose to his girlfriend during the photo shoot, with the breathtaking city view as their backdrop. We planned everything down to the last detail so that the moment would be perfect.

As the first light of the day gently touched the city, we began the session in the soft, golden glow of sunrise. Then, at just the right moment, overlooking the awakening skyline of Budapest, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was emotional, intimate, and simply beautiful. She said yes, of course — and their joy was truly contagious.

After the proposal, we continued exploring the quiet, early morning charm of the Bastion and its surroundings, capturing natural and romantic moments in the soft morning light. With almost no tourists around, we had the whole location nearly to ourselves, which made it all the more magical.

It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful moment in their lives.
